U17 Kelab Sukan Putra Mahkota Final 2004

I was digging through my digital collection recently when I stumbled upon these. This was the first tournement by the Kelab Sukan Putra Mahkota and we were in the final against a combined team of Accasia and Townhouse. We lost that final on penalties and that day also witnessed the day how passionate 12 year old chubby Muhammad Baqir was, and still, is about football and winning. He cried a baby cry after the final. The boys grew up now with some of the became almost adult and gone to colleges. The youngest in that team today would be sitting for their PMR soon.

U12 Foot ball Tournement

Another tournement for the boys last Sunday only this time it was for Under 12. As usual I started out early with my usual coach/manager attire for such tournement. To be honest I looked more like someone going to kebun he he he. Anyways the game started around 0930 for us. We drew both our group games Melati 1-1 and Dahlia 2-2 respectively and went to the semi where we lost to Putra Tropika. Without enough bodies and proper training I did not expect much from the boys but the boys gave me a very nice surprise with their progress and commitment. Kudos to all of you boys. Major progress from Amirul with his positioning, passing and running beating the big boys. His confidence level is excellent. Acap played his usual game and can inprove further. Amir is a revelation in defence and with further coaching and training could be a power horse. Azmin and Nazarul can hold the midfield but they need help and with further football sense they can be our engine room for the U15 team. But two areas that we need to beef up are the backlines and goalkeeping. In the end we won the third placing against Melati by penalty shootout. The most important thing about that shoot out actually is not about that winning but again the confidence level of the boys that I really admire. When were going for the shoot out I did not pick my 5 penalty takers but instead I asked for volunteers and immediately 7 or 8 hand came up. Parents you should be proud of your boys as what I have in my group are boys that can handle pressure and not afriad to be in one. Of course I had in the end to pick our best 5 and they did their job confidently. Subsequently we had to pick another 3 takers and we won the game. The players are;

1. Amir Farhan Saiful Maznan
2. Muhammad Qusyairi Tarmidzi
3. Amirul Adly Mohd Shafie
4. Nik Adi Azwari Azhar Azwari (D)
5. Azmin Munir Mustapha
6. Mohd Nazarul Fitri Azman
7. Nur Muhammad Salim
8. Mohd Azri Zahari (Ayie)
9. Muhammad Ashraf Azizi (Acap)
10. Muhd Syahir Adenan
11. Asyraf Nabil Aznor
12.Amirul Iman Halim
13. Iman Hilmi Ibraya
14. Amirul Akeef Mohd Bohari

I am honoured to be part of these boys growing up and here are the photos.

The game against this team never took place as they were a combination of B Mahkota and Desa Mahkota

Isn't it obvious that they are enjoying themselves and how can I not be happy to see them like that.
